1. Who we are
emdly (emdly.com) is operated by Launify s.r.o., company ID 19380038, registered office Husova 763/30, 737 01 Český Těšín, Czech Republic, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Ostrava, file C 92723 (“we”, “us”, “emdly”). Contact: [email protected].
2. What emdly is
emdly is a catalog of Markdown “skills” — instruction files for AI agents — that anyone can browse and install, plus, for signed-in users, tools to publish skills, keep private Brain files and connect AI clients over MCP, the CLI and the REST API. The service is currently provided free of charge. Paid plans, if introduced, will have their own terms shown before you buy.
3. Your account
- You sign in with a Google or GitHub account; we create your emdly account from the name, e-mail and avatar they provide. You must be at least 16 years old.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your personal MCP tokens and agent tokens secret. Tell us at once if you believe a token or your account has been compromised.
- One person, one account. Bots and automated sign-ups are not allowed.
- You can delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected]; see §9 for what happens to published skills.
4. Skills you publish
- You keep all rights to skills you submit. You choose the licence in the file’s front matter; skills without a licence are published under MIT by default, and every published skill must carry a licence that lets others use it.
- By submitting a skill you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute and adapt (for formatting, indexing and safety review only) the skill on emdly, through the CLI, the API and MCP, and in the public emdly-stack mirror on GitHub, for as long as it is published — and to keep serving already-installed versions after you unpublish, because other people’s agents may depend on them.
- You confirm you have the rights to publish the content, that it contains no secrets, personal data of others, malware, prompt injection aimed at readers’ agents, or material that is unlawful, defamatory or infringing.
- Every submission goes through automated checks, an AI safety review and human review. We may reject, edit metadata of, unpublish or remove any skill at any time, in particular after a report. “Security checked” means the checks passed at review time; it is not a warranty (see §10 and §11).
5. Brain files
Brain files are private to your account, encrypted at rest and reachable only by you and by clients you authorise (OAuth or your personal token). We do not read them except to operate the service, to comply with law, or with your consent when you ask for support. Do not store payment card data or third-party credentials in them.
6. Using skills, the CLI, the API and MCP
- Skills are third-party content. Read a skill before letting an agent act on it; you are responsible for what your agent does.
- Reasonable automated use of the raw URLs, CLI, API and MCP is welcome. Rate limits apply; do not scrape the whole catalog in a loop, circumvent limits, probe for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure, or use the service to distribute malware or spam.
- Connected AI clients (Claude, OpenClaw and others) act with your account’s permissions. Review what you authorise and revoke connections you no longer use under Settings.
7. Acceptable use
You will not use emdly to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, harass people, impersonate others, publish content that is sexual, hateful or violent, or interfere with the service or other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
8. References and company logos
If you register with a work e-mail address or otherwise use emdly on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so, and you grant Launify s.r.o. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to show that organisation’s name and logo on emdly.com and in our marketing materials as a customer reference — for example in a “Trusted by professionals from …” strip — in a form that states or implies only that people from the organisation use emdly, never that the organisation endorses or has contracted with emdly.
You or the organisation can withdraw this at any time, without giving a reason, by e-mail to [email protected]; we remove the name and logo within 14 days. We honour any brand guidelines you point us to, and we will not show a logo where the organisation has told us not to.
9. Termination
You can stop using emdly at any time. When an account is deleted, its Brain files, favourites, follows, notifications and tokens are erased. Published skills remain available under the author’s handle unless you ask us to unpublish them; already-installed copies stay with the people who installed them, as allowed by the skill’s licence. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give at least 30 days’ notice where possible.
10. Community content — no warranty
- Skills are written by the community, not by us. Every
.mdfile in the catalog is created, licensed and published by its author, who is solely responsible for its content. emdly is a hosting platform for that content within the meaning of Article 6 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) and Section 5 of Czech Act No. 480/2004 Coll.; we do not monitor content in general and we do not adopt it as our own. - We give no warranty of any kind — express or implied — that any skill is accurate, complete, safe, lawful, free of errors or malicious instructions, fit for any purpose, or that it will work with your agent, your data or your systems. Reviews, automated checks, the AI safety scan and the “Security checked” badge are best-effort filters performed at review time; they are not a warranty, an endorsement or a promise about later versions or about how a skill behaves in your environment.
- emdly itself is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of availability, continuity, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Backups are our practice, not a guarantee — keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
- You decide what to install and what your agent may do. Read a skill before you use it, test it in a safe environment, and never give an agent access it does not need. Whatever an agent does after loading a skill is done by you.
- If you believe a skill is unlawful or harmful, use Report on the skill page or write to [email protected]; we act on notices as required by law.
11. Exclusion of liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Launify s.r.o. is not liable for any damage, loss or claim of any kind arising from or connected with the content of skills or other user content, their use by you or your agents, or your reliance on them — including loss of or damage to data, lost profits or revenue, business interruption, costs of substitute services, actions taken by an AI agent, unauthorised access resulting from a skill, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, even if we were told such loss was possible.
- The same exclusion applies to the operation of emdly itself: unavailability, interruptions, data loss, errors in the catalog, the CLI, the API or MCP, changes to or discontinuation of the service, and the acts or omissions of third-party services we rely on (sign-in providers, hosting, mail, safety-scan model providers).
- Using emdly gives no one a right to compensation from us. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period — and, for a free service, to CZK 1 000.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, in particular liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for death or personal injury. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
12. Your responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for the skills you publish and for the way you and your agents use skills from the catalog. You will indemnify and hold harmless Launify s.r.o., its executives and staff against any claims, damages, fines and reasonable legal costs brought by third parties that arise from content you published, from your breach of these Terms, or from your (or your agent’s) use of emdly.
13. Changes to the service and these Terms
We may change or discontinue features. We may change these Terms; material changes take effect 14 days after we publish them here and notify signed-in users (a banner or an e-mail), and you will be asked to accept the new version the next time you sign in. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes are decided by the Czech courts; if you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply. Consumers in the Czech Republic may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) for out-of-court dispute resolution; consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s ODR platform.
